Riverview Intermediate Unit 6 Parent Training

You're Invited to a Parent Training "Communicating with AAC", Saturday March 7, 2026, 9am-11am.
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) includes tools and strategies—such as picture boards, communication apps, or speech-generating devices—that help individuals express their wants, needs, and ideas. AAC can support students who are nonverbal, minimally verbal, or who have difficulty being understood due to speech or language challenges. Using AAC does not prevent speech development; but supports communication and often helps speech grow.
