Hello everyone!  My name is Mrs. Kim LaBelle and I teach one of the second grade classes in the Punxsutawney Elementary School.  This is my 30th year of teaching for the district.  In the past, I taught at Parkview, Mary A. Wilson, Longview, Big Run, Jenks Hill, and Mapleview.  I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year.  We work hard in my class, but we also have a lot of fun mixed in with the learning.
I have lived in this area most of my life.  My husband, Wayne, is self employed.  Our son, Nick, graduated from Penn State and works at the Punxsutawney Spirit and our daughter, Katie, attends Point Park University. We have two wonderful dogs named Willow and Gracie who your child will hear many stories about throughout the year.
My very favorite place is Walt Disney World!  I have been there several times and always love to talk about it with everyone.

Please call me at the school (938-5151), send me a message on the Remind app, write a message in your child's assignment notebook, put a note in their folder, or email me at [email protected] with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year. Please make sure you check your child's folder and assignment notebook each night because they are the best places to look for information from the school. I am focused on helping your child learn everything they can this year while gaining a love for reading, math, science, and social studies.
