SUBJECT: Reading Specialist
GRADE: K-6
Hi! My name is Ms. Angela States and I am a Reading Specialist at the Punxsutawney Area Elementary School. I earned my Early Childhood degree from IUP in 1997 and decided to continue my education in 2010. I earned my Masters in Education with a Reading Specialist certification from Clarion University in 2014. I have taught preschool, been a substitute teacher and an Americorps Pa Reads teacher, all within the Punxsutawney Area School District.
I have three grown children, 3 grandsons, love the color green, summer and fall are my favorite seasons, and I do Not like the cold at all! In my spare time I enjoy reading, crafting, sewing, and spending time with my family.
I love teaching in this school district and being part of a team of great teachers that will aid in the learning of the wonderful students in this community. I am looking forward to a great year!
