SUBJECT: Reading and Math
GRADE: 3rd
Hi and welcome to my page! My name is Mrs. Stewart and this is my 18th year teaching for the Punxsutawney Area School District and my 8th year teaching third grade. This year I will be teaching ELA in both morning and afternoon. I have taught at all three levels for the district (elementary, middle, and high school) during my time here.
I was hired in 2002 in the Punxsutawney School District and began my teaching career teaching 6th grade Reading at the middle school. After that, I taught K-5 learning support for 9 years mostly at West End, but I briefly taught learning support at Jenks Hill and the high school as well. Then, I began teaching third grade at Longview during the 2012-2013 school year.
I am a 1995 Brookville High School graduate and a 2000 Clarion University graduate with a dual Bachelor's degree in elementary and special education. I also have my Master's Degree in Reading, which I also received in 2008 from Clarion University.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two little girls! They keep me very busy!!!
I look forward to another great year with my third grade friends!
